Senior Analyst | Equity Portfolio Management Primary office location: Sydney Date: 01-Jan-2025 Permanent - Full time Job category: Compliance & Regulatory, Credit, Risk Management Our Credit division in the Risk Management Group is currently looking for a high performer to join the team responsible for Equity Portfolio Management. Our team collaborates with global stakeholders, including all the operating businesses, Risk Management, Group Treasury, and Finance. You will be part of a team that is focused on improving existing processes and fostering innovations that support strategic decisions. You will play a key role in analysing the risks in Macquarie’s large portfolio of private equity investments and providing strategic insights to Macquarie’s senior leadership and board members that will directly impact Macquarie’s risk appetite for new equity investments. You will have responsibility for identifying relevant data sources, cleaning and preparing data, including dealing regularly with business stakeholders for both data and insights using Alteryx, Excel VBA, and similar systems. You will undertake modelling to produce insightful analysis for senior management and the Board and produce and deliver insights to senior stakeholders that support decision-making. You will develop an understanding of the business’s needs and work with team members and stakeholders to continuously improve existing processes or develop new approaches. You will clearly communicate insights you draw from large data sets and articulate actionable outcomes. What you offer Ability to solve complex problems, leveraging strong analytical skills and a critical mindset Good understanding of investment and risk principles Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels An eye for detail and take pride in getting the details right while remaining aware of the bigger picture Degree in Quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics or similar), or finance, economics or similar.
