Job Description

This team consistently handles some of the largest and most complex projects in the market (often above $1Bn). Their client base includes Australia’s top developers and contractors, along with key public-sector panel clients. Many of these relationships span over a decade, reflecting the team’s track record of delivering exceptional results. With a reputation as one of Melbourne’s leading practices for Security of Payment matters, the team includes several Senior lawyers who are registered adjudicators and have successfully handled hundreds of disputes for both principals and contractors. Recent projects include advising on Melbourne CBD towers, significant greenfield developments across Victoria, and renewable energy projects like solar, wind, and battery storage projects nationwide. As a Senior Associate, you’ll take ownership of your own matters while also collaborating on multi-party litigation and other complex disputes. This team follows a low-leverage model, which means less hierarchy and more opportunities to work directly with clients. Seniors in the team play a hands-on role, and your ability to build strong client relationships will be highly valued. The group is led by three Partners who actively mentor their team and provide support for professional development. While you’ll have access to technical guidance when needed, the focus of mentoring is on building the leadership and strategic skills required to step into Partnership in the future. There’s no rigid policy around flexible working. Instead, the firm takes a mature approach, giving you full autonomy to decide how best to perform your role.
