Sydney based. In this Senior Associate role, you will: Provide second line of defence review, challenge and risk advice over the Ubank’s Home Lending, Operations & Finance business units. Provide input on relevant BU risk appetite/tolerances as well as escalate breaches, material risk issues and potential loss events as appropriate. Oversight over findings, events, treatment plans and obligations that impact the relevant business unit. Provide review, challenge, and advice over risk impact assessments as part of new change initiatives being introduced to the business unit. Provide risk views on new and existing vendor management contracts. Provide risk views through different risk reporting governance channels like the Executive Risk Forums, Risk Councils etc. Complete second line reviews over comprehensive events in Grace. Contribute to implementation activities necessary to review and challenge effectiveness of first line risk management and compliance. Ensure prospective risk appetite breaches, material risks, loss events and/or deviations from the Risk Management Framework are escalated on a timely basis. Contribute to advice on risk and compliance issues and the design of effective mitigation strategies and controls. What you’ll bring: Professional experience in Risk Management, preferably within Financial Services. Proven ability of review and challenge activities or have an analytical or portfolio management background. Sound expertise of relevant risk exposures – Credit, Operational, Compliance, Data and Technology, Third Party/Vendor Risks. Strong customer focus, risk management and business analysis skills.
