Role details The Clinical Measurements Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity Deliver as a member of a multidisciplinary team, cardiac clinical measurement services involving complex caseloads to the Mackay Hospital and Health Service in accordance with contemporary clinical practice standards. Perform with a high degree of independence and infrequent clinical practice supervision, as a high-level practitioner in the cardiac sciences. About The Team The Clinical Measurement Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital performs a range of clinical investigations including cardiac, respiratory and neuro-diagnostic services. The Cardiac diagnostics team has a complement of five staff cardiologists and seven cardiac scientists who deliver electrocardiography (ECG), echocardiography (Echo), cardiac catheter lab (Cath-lab) and device management services that include Transthoracic and Transoesophageal Echocardiography; Contrast Enhanced Echocardiography; Exercise Stress Echocardiography and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography; Exercise Stress ECG's; Ambulatory ECG's and Blood Pressure monitors; Pacemaker management, Cath-lab Physiologic monitoring, and assisting in imaging modalities (IVUS & OCT).
