Ask us about; Our competitive salary starting from $253,830 + 14.75% super (10 day fortnight) Hybrid & flexible working arrangement Leave offerings (including 14 weeks paid parental leave – at full or half pay, plus additional leave purchasing) Free undercover secure parking, with access to onsite charging stations for electric vehicles The opportunity: As the Senior Civil Support Engineer for our Civil Field Engineering team, you will be providing technical leadership and engineering support on all matters relating to the state-wide maintenance and operation of transmission HV substations and transmission lines. Your role will be critical in resolving complex engineering problems, implementing new technologies, and driving continuous improvement in Powerlink's High Voltage (HV) Civil engineering services. This role ensures the efficient, cost-effective, and reliable operation of the Powerlink transmission network. Specifically, you will: Provide technical leadership and support in key operational, maintenance, and asset risk management decisions for Transmission Lines and Substations Civil work Offer Professional Engineering (RPEQ) advice to the business and Powerlink’s Maintenance Service Providers (MSPs) Design, approve, and implement various technical procedural/specification documents and engineering advice Ensure competent and cost-effective state-wide technical support to internal customers Ensure robust systems are in place for testing and verifying Transmission Lines and Substations Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative Acts, Standards, and Codes of Practice The people you'll join: Located in Brisbane, you will join our Civil Field Engineering Team within Operational Engineering, part of the Operations & Services Delivery team. This role is a cornerstone of our team, offering a chance to work as subject matter expert (SME) with innovation and expertise in the High Voltage (HV) civil/structural engineering space. What you'll bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) You will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in HV Transmission Substation and Transmission Lines Civil/Structural Engineering field-based role supporting operations and maintenance activities. Demonstrated expertise in HV Transmission Substation and Transmission Lines civil/structural systems design, construction, inspection, and maintenance. Proven high-level technical skills with the ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
