About you: Plant your roots with us as our next Senior Commercial Lead where you will play a key role in enhancing our commercial sales stream. In this role, you will drive revenue growth and market share expansion for Aurora Cannabis / MedReleaf (MRA) across Australia, leading the execution of commercial sales initiatives to secure and grow key business relationships with pharmacies, clinics, corporate accounts and more. You will spearhead the commercial sales stream to foster high-performing and collaborative team strategies and efforts, ensuring the flawless execution of initiatives to maximize product adoption and revenue. By leveraging market intelligence, strategic negotiations, and a relentless focus on performance, you will deliver tangible business outcomes, positioning Aurora / MRA to continue to be a market leader in the competitive medical cannabis space. As the Senior Commercial Lead you will oversee… Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the commercial sales stream fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture across Australia Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute strategic commercial sales and business development plans to achieve territory objectives Set clear goals, performance metrics, and drive accountability for the sales stream to exceed KPIs and sales targets and travel into market to support the successful execution, in collaboration with local leadership Account & Relationship Management: Support commercial sales territory management across AUS, ensuring strong, productive relationships with pharmacies, clinics, key accounts and more with other team members Champion Aurora/MRA’s brand and products in the market, driving adoption and increasing commercial achievements across AUS Develop and implement tailored commercial sales strategies and exclusive agreements with corporate accounts to drive long-term business partnerships Business Development & Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on new business sales opportunities, expanding Aurora and MRA's market presence within the medical cannabis sector across AUS Conduct market research and gather insights to shape business sales strategies, optimize growth opportunities, and respond to competitive threats Collaborate with the Global Business Development Team to capitalize on white label and B2B opportunities Strategically protect and strengthen Aurora and MRA’s market share in the commercial sales territory with leadership by proactively addressing competitive threats from global entrants, leveraging our unique value proposition, and cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure customer loyalty and continued growth Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, regulatory, clinical support and other teams to ensure alignment across all business functions Provide key insights to the marketing team to shape product messaging and promotional strategies Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance for the commercial sales stream in collaboration with leadership Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to optimize sales strategies and improve customer retention Ensure commercial sales goals related to account growth, product adoption, program implementation and sales performance are achieved in the commercial stream Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity, using insights to adapt strategies and defend market position Drive competitive differentiation by leveraging Aurora and MRA’s unique value proposition in product offerings and customer service You’ll be set up for success if you have… Post-secondary education, such as a Degree in Business or Marketing, in a related field 5+ years of experience in a senior commercial, business development, or sales management role, with a strong background in key account management, sales and territory leadership, preferably in CPG or medical cannabis industries Proven track record of leading commercial sales teams and achieving revenue growth through the development and execution of strategic commercial plans Prior experience driving results and managing territories effectively, consistently delivering winning solutions that meet customer needs Extensive experience in tailoring commercial sales plans, solutions, and agreements to meet the unique needs of customers within a territory.
