About the role: Are you ready to take on a hands-on role where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the design, delivery, & oversight of best-in-class compliance frameworks, processes, & controls? Due to an internal movement Rabobank has an opening for a Senior Compliance Manager - Monitoring, to join our dynamic team in Sydney. As Senior Compliance Manager - Monitoring, you will provide independent oversight of key compliance areas, including CAMS, Privacy, Record Keeping, Market Abuse, Conflicts of Interest, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC), & Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), including complaint management. In addition, you will leverage your leadership skills to manage a small compliance monitoring team. Top Role Accountabilities: Develop & execute the Compliance Monitoring Plan, ensuring timely delivery & escalation of identified weaknesses to fulfil the second-line-of-defence responsibilities. Lead monitoring reviews & control testing of CAMS controls across the end-to-end business operations value chain. Assess adherence to legislative requirements, internal & external policies, & standards to promote compliance awareness & accountability. Review & test key business controls & processes to ensure alignment with regulatory & organisational standards. Collaborate with second-line testing teams locally & globally to maintain the integrity of the compliance controls framework. Lead, coach, & guide compliance managers & analysts, fostering a culture of productivity, inclusivity, & continuous improvement & establishing team performance expectations & priorities. Provide thought leadership & expert guidance to enhance governance frameworks, systems, controls, & monitoring activities. Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, ensuring timely reporting & insights from compliance monitoring activities. To be successful you will have: 8+ years’ experience in Compliance within banking or financial services. Previous experience in an audit or monitoring role. Demonstrated expertise in risk & control practices. An in-depth understanding of compliance requirements & practices in the Australian financial services sector. Proven people management experience, with a focus on coaching & team development. Well-developed interpersonal skills, with an ability to build trust & establish strong relationships.
