Three, permanent full-time positions, based in either Hobart, Launceston, Devonport or Burnie. About us: Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit organisation that provides a wide range of community services to the people of Tasmania. One of those services is Housing Connect which is Tasmania’s entry point for housing assistance. Our Housing Connect Team directly support people experiencing housing stress. About the Role: The Senior Connection Coach provides support, leadership and mentoring to a team of Connection Coaches working at the cold face of the housing crisis. The role requires exceptional communication skills, resilience and experience with working with people in crisis. This enables the effective mentoring and support of staff and direct management of the more complex cases of people requiring assistance. The successful applicant will possess demonstrable competency, knowledge, understanding and/or skills in the following areas: Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and inspiring teams including monitoring team performance. Demonstrated experience with practice development and documentation. Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the translation of knowledge into practice and service objectives. Expertise in brief interventions: short term planning and goal setting, provision of relevant information, connection to opportunities, resources, people, and networks to grow skills and capabilities to maximise housing outcomes. Up-to-date knowledge of housing information, community resources, service providers and referral point. Understanding of Tasmania’s current housing market and the difficulties facing people on a low-income trying to secure housing including family violence, mental health and alcohol and other drug issues. Understanding of human development and the normative activities, behaviours, and developmental milestones characteristic to stage of life, as well as the relevant community and institutional links and systems. High level written and verbal communication skills including the ability to maintain accurate, professional case-notes, prepare correspondence and provide required information within program guidelines. Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position or extensive experience and lesser qualifications deemed equivalent. Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring teams. What we offer you: an attractive salary of $98,602 to $103,087 not-for-profit salary packaging available that can increase your take home pay a 7% Graduate Loading payable where you hold a degree in a relevant discipline; a friendly and supportive work environment. The successful applicant will be required to: provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months); provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16; provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical; provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence. On commencement the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
