Senior Coordinator, Prevention Learning Development Senior Coordinator, Prevention Learning Development Apply locations Melbourne time type Full time posted on Posted 2 Days Ago time left to apply End Date: February 10, 2025 (13 days left to apply) job requisition id JR36220 Overview: Full-time, Fixed Term position until August 2025 Salary Level HEW 8 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working About You The Senior Coordinator Prevention Learning & Development will support the effective implementation of the University’s Gender-based Violence Prevention Strategic Action Plan (The Plan), the Planning for Change and Prevention & Respect Learning and Development Plan and other associated area workplans. In addition, the role will support other key gender equity and violence prevention related strategies, activities and events associated with the Prevention & Respect team. The purpose of the RMIT Gender-based Violence Prevention Strategic Action Plan is to apply contemporary, evidence-based strategies, and models of best practice to reduce the prevalence of gender-based violence across three key domains and three key action areas: Key domains Prevention Response and Support Governance and institutional settings Key action areas Awareness raising Learning and capability development Targeted projects and activities (innovation) The program of work aims to promote change and includes harmonisation of systems/legal and policy frameworks; learning and development; awareness raising, health promotion, prevention initiatives and projects. The program of work is to be underpinned by a robust monitoring and evaluation framework, which will be developed and implemented as a leadership team. The role will work to support the Senior Manager GBV Prevention and Manager Prevention, Masculinities & Learning to coordinate and implement a whole of organisation program of work particularly related to training development and delivery, that aims to support culture change across a large and diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. The role also provides support and expertise to other key university initiatives and partnerships. The role will also work closely in partnership with the Senior Coordinator Health Promotion and Learning position. This role will be responsible to work with management and associated internal and external stakeholders in actioning the Learning and Development plan. This includes the design, development and oversight of learning products and materials and the facilitation of training & workshops for both staff and students. In addition, the role will have at times oversight of key innovation prevention projects and their respective budgets as determined by management. There will be shared responsibility with the Senior Coordinator Health Promotion & Learning for the design and delivery of staff and student facing prevention events and activities, including activation of Safer Tent health promotion and pop education initiatives. To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in gender-based violence prevention best practices, with a preference for experience in university and TAFE settings, and the ability to design and deliver innovative content and support for diverse groups. Proven experience in teaching and training on gender-based violence prevention and response across various settings (e.g., online, face-to-face), and the capacity to collaborate with internal and external agencies to enhance training and initiatives. Excellent relationship-building, management, and influencing skills to engage effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Experience in measurement and evaluation supporting best practice training development and delivery in a dual university setting. Demonstrated project management skills, including risk management and resource management, with the ability to think and work innovatively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
