About the role: This position reports into the Technology Services & Commercial team within the broader Coles Technology function, focusing on building data collection and analytics capabilities to uncover customer, product, and operational insights, providing data-driven support to our users, and enabling Coles to be a data-driven organisation. We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator to design, implement and develop robust database solutions in the timely deployment and support of functional and cost-effective systems. You will have the opportunity to support database-related components, including all aspects of engineered systems in the day-to-day running and maintenance, as well as provide technical expertise and advice as appropriate to the organisation. About you and your skills: Extensive experience in IT, specifically in a database environment Demonstrated expertise in at least one database management system and associated tools, strong preference being Microsoft SQL Server Demonstrated skills in database design for performance and database performance tuning Demonstrated understanding of Disaster Recovery plan and execution Good grasp of security issues and ways of implementing best practice protection Nice to have: Completion or commencement of accredited training in relevant DBMS Awareness in applicable IT change and problem management processes What’s in it for you?
