Senior Database Administrator A unique opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator to put their name to high impact work as part of our Accounts Engineering team. With a place on the Accounts squad, your work will be at the heart of the experience that more than 3.5 million customers have with Zip. Responsible for maintaining the many databases and platform integrations related to how a customer transacts with us, from sign-up and onboarding to repayments, this is business-critical work that depends on Engineers who enjoy ownership and embrace change. Alongside your critical database work you will get the opportunity to further develop your engineering skills through modernisation projects, working within a high performing team who have an outstanding culture of development and mentorship. What you'll bring to the team: Experience working as a Senior Database Administrator with SQL server, Postgres SQL and Kafka Exposure to NoSQL databases Familiarity with cloud based platforms (we use AWS) Experience with a scripting or programming language i.e. Spark/Scala, Java or Python. Good communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of business users Experience working within a risk environment, critically assessing user access Ability to work fluidly with a desire to take on new challenges An aptitude for identifying and managing risks.
