The Role: The Senior Design Engineer will play a key role in providing advanced technical expertise and strategic leadership to ensure the successful delivery of design projects across multiple disciplines within Transmission and Distribution, both Overhead and Underground. This role involves developing and implementing effective strategies, tools, and processes to enhance the overall project outcomes while driving continuous improvement in standards and designs to deliver long-term value for both customers and shareholders. Additionally, the Senior Design Engineer is responsible for offering critical thought leadership by engaging with industry committees, suppliers, and consultants to identify and adopt best practices in design, ensure safety in design, deliver training, and maintain quality assurance. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or similar) 10+ years’ experience in a design based role within either a Construction, Consulting, Energy, Electrical, Utilities or Professional Services company. Experience and knowledge of both Transmission and Distribution, Overhead and Underground Strong understanding of the Australian Energy and Infrastructure sector.
