Job Description
Join Our Team as a Senior Energy Markets Risk Analyst! Are you passionate about trading in the energy markets and quantitative risk management? We are seeking an experienced and talented individual with Energy Markets and/or Financial Market experience to help shape the future of energy trading and risk analysis at Delta. Key Responsibilities Support the development of comprehensive market scenarios and energy market risk that anticipates emerging energy markets risk trends and the implications for Delta’s energy market activities. Perform analysis of markets risk by applying and developing earnings at risk, value at risk, mark to market, volumetric and stress testing models. Develop and manage markets risk information systems. Support the Energy Markets team by providing risk analysis and support in the preparation of trading strategies that maximise return with accepted risk parameters. Undertake situation analysis to gain insight into the market forces that impinge on Delta’s business and performance. Analyse markets risk and develop models to determine price, volume/market, and plant failure risk. Prepare and present detailed reports and dashboards on modelling outputs and market risk views. What We’re Looking For Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Management. 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in a risk analyst role in either energy or financial markets. Highly developed capability in data science and quantitative analysis, experience in energy market modelling preferred. Highly developed communication skills (written and verbal) to present information to a wide range of stakeholders. What We Offer Above market remuneration package and bonus potential.
