Agriculture and Fisheries (Organisation site)Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce; National Fire Ant Eradication Program; Biosecurity Queensland; Brisbane CBD or Berrinba Find purpose you feel, impact you see and a legacy you bring to life. #DAFcareersAs our Senior Engagement Officer, you will: Develop and support communication and engagement projects from inception to approval, implementation, and evaluation. Develop communication and engagement products such as campaign materials, training packages, website information, newsletters, magazine articles, factsheets, and other materials that are in line with Biosecurity Queensland's engagement strategy and the department's communication and engagement requirements. Draw on respected and tested engagement and communication models addressing a wide range of communication activities including but not limited to issues and crisis management and public and stakeholder education. Maintain a watching brief over trends in community and industry forums, social media, news media discussions, provide timely advice about emerging issues and opportunities, and prepare appropriate strategies for management. Lead project scoping activities and customer journey mapping for the Fire Ant Suppression Taskforce to understand how to effectively engage with a range of stakeholders. Negotiate and communicate with designated stakeholder groups on behalf of Biosecurity Queensland within department guidelines. Coordinate and manage awareness campaigns within the South East Queensland region from start to finish including the planning, execution, and evaluation of the project, providing strategic advice about how best to communicate to a range of communities. Escalate complaints and identify reputational risks and issues in relation to potentially sensitive matters and circumstances. Contribute to the development of team planning processes and the maintenance and evaluation of policies, procedures, and systems needed to ensure effective stakeholder engagement practices and outcomes across the program. You may also have: A qualification or relevant experience in stakeholder engagement and communication. An understanding of biosecurity response activities and/or experience in applying your capabilities in a response environment. Licences and registrations: A current ‘C' class drivers licence.
