About the role Reporting to the Cloud Platform Manager, you will be part of an exciting new function where you can take the lead on up-skilling and mentoring a small team of engineers. The team you are a part of is responsible for ensuring the tooling used by our engineering teams are always leading-edge, with key focus areas being Github, Backstage, AWS, and API development. In conjunction with your leadership capabilities, you’re a hands-on senior developer and experienced in all things Github, AWS, and automation. More than that, you have and want to stay at the forefront of leading-edge development practices and your passion will keep Sportsbet at the forefront of development best practices and the use of AI to achieve this. About You Strong communications and stakeholder management skills Ability to develop code to automate all things AWS High level competency in Github, you’re a bit of a guru AI is a passion of yours, and how it applies to development practices Continuous learning mindset - ongoing ability to grow and learn new technologies and impart your knowledge to the broader technology teams High competency in Python and have ideally used TypeScript Backend Object Oriented Developer Experience (essential skill), Middleware skills, building APIs and integrating with target applications using Golang Experience with CICD pipelines and tools Strong hands-on experience with key AWS Services like Cloud Formation, ECS, S3, Fargate, Lambda, RDS.
