Airport Development Group (ADG) owns and manages diverse infrastructure assets across the Northern Territory including airports, hotels, aviation, and commercial buildings. Investing, developing, and managing long term infrastructure to grow the Territory and Northern Australia. Primary Objective To provide timely & accurate analytical, statistical & financial support for ADG Property & Commercial business unit, performance analysis & monitoring, standard reporting, business planning, and financial modelling. Key Responsibilities Core functions First point of contact for all Property & Commercial Accounting for ADG and related entities. Processing of all budgeting, reporting and month-end Property & Commercial revenue accounting entries. Provide financial analysis to support decisions about investments. Other functions Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights. Track financial performance against KPIs and recommend improvements. Identify and assess financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Identify opportunities for increased revenue or cost reduction initiatives. Identify any revenue leakage and support recovery. Communicate financial information clearly and in an approachable manner. Lead the measurement of progress on the capital expenditure for the business unit. Ensure that the accounting for all aspects of the Energy business is accurate and in line with best practice. Review of monthly property invoicing and related accruals. System testing of ERP functionality and new features and testing system fixes and perform UAT testing of the ERP for all the processes owned by the role. Adhoc project support. Budget and Reforecast Process The role will be responsible for supporting the annual budgeting and reforecasting cycles. These processes are complex with many stakeholders and as such require careful timetabling and effective communication. This also includes delegation and coordination with the wider finance team, including other Business Partners, the Property & Commercial team and other key stakeholders. Engage with and support the business units in development of robust and realistic budgets, including: Driver and assumption validation. Identification of Risk & Opportunities. Early identification of issues to drive turnaround or optimisation of outcomes. Challenge and provide a balanced view of financial positions. Safety, Environment & Compliance Ensure ADG complies with relevant legislation and accounting standards. Identification of issues for referral to specialist areas, e.g. Tax, Insurance, Legal etc. Support both external and internal audit processes. Identify, assess, and manage risk through application of ADG Risk Management Framework. Promote sustainable and safety conscious culture by ensuring environmental and safety risks are identified, assessed, and treated. Cyber Security Apply ADG Policy and Guidelines to identify and respond to cyber security threats. Selection Criteria Essential CA, CPA or CIMA qualified or working towards Qualification. Bachelor of business/commerce, preferably with finance or accounting major. Experience working with complex spreadsheets. Demonstrated analytical skills including a proactive approach to work and providing solutions. Solid relationship development skills and the ability to develop positive and professional working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, including ability to work in a small, dynamic and fast paced team. Attention to detail to enable pick up of details that may have financial or commercial impact. Experience working with Power BI, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card and pass an Australian Federal Police Check. Desirable Experience in a Property & Commercial corporate environment.
