Our opportunity AsSenior Finance Manager – External Reporting ,you will bean essential part of the Group Finance team and will directly report to the Group Financial Controller. This is a unique role providing the opportunity for direct interaction with stakeholders across the organisation and will actively contribute ideas and technical expertise as it relates to new transactions and projects. The role will be driving Mirvac’s statutory reporting and sustainability reporting capability to meet our future reporting obligations and commitments. In this role you will: Interpret and plan for the Australian and international sustainability reporting standards, including the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Sustainability Disclosures. Assist with developing and implementing the process to deliver the ESG financial reporting and work collaboratively with the Sustainability team and operating divisions to uplift and enhance the ESG data governance and reporting. Assist with preparing the Group’s consolidated financial report twice yearly and undertake detailed review and provide feedback on divisional group reporting pack submissions during hard close and period ends, highlighting and resolving issues in a timely manner. Assist with interpreting and assessing the impacts of changes in accounting standards, exposure drafts, accounting interpretations and industry standards. Proactively engage with the divisions across the transaction lifecycle to evaluate potential structures and provide advice on the accounting impacts. Assist with providing the optimal outcome for the Group on key transactions including new business opportunities, acquisitions, and disposals. Regularly review and maintain finance related policies and procedures, and where required, develop new policies to support changes in the Group and changes to the accounting standards. Your point of difference To be successful, you will be CA / CPA qualified with a strong technical accounting background. You will have prior experience providing complex advice and excellent communication skills to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience working within the property sector is advantageous but not essential. You have a proactive, self motivated mindset and the ability to think outside the box to deliver optimal solutions. A passion for ESG and sustainability in corporate commitments will be highly valued for this role.
