About Our Client A prominent ASX listed company and leader in its industry is currently seeking a Senior Manager, Group External Reporting to join their exceptional team. In this role, you will oversee the group's external financial reporting and governance requirements, as well as lead initiatives focused on automation and process improvements. Job Description The Senior Manager, Group External Reporting is responsible for leading the delivery of the Group's external financial reporting through the Preliminary Final Report, Annual Report and Interim Financial Report, together with the supporting review, analysis, assurance and governance requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead the review of detailed segment packs provided in half-year and year-end reporting, providing a critical review and leadership role using experience and knowledge of the business, detailed understanding of key transactions and the Group's operational performance to interrogate and challenge the submissions to ensure they accurately report performance. Actively lead and motivate a large team through the half-year and year-end reporting process to meet external and internal financial reporting requirements while driving excellence and accuracy. Oversee the day-to-day delivery of external reports to auditors and other external parties, ensuring that business units provide timely and accurate financial information to relevant stakeholders across the organisation. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and use your expertise in external reporting and accounting to address issues and implement process improvement initiatives. The Successful Applicant The successful applicant will ideally have the following: Hold a CA/CPA qualification. Have a strong understanding of financial reporting standards and a proven track record of delivering external reports in a large ASX listed organisation. Possess a strategic and analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. A passion for leading, motivating and developing teams. A track record of implementing process improvement initiatives.
