Job Description Overview This role Reporting directly to the Group Head of FP&A, this role will have a crucial part to play in the success of the MPMS business and delivery of a world class finance function as part of a global Finance team. As Finance Manager - Technology, you will have ownership of the relationship with the Chief Technology Officer and be responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and monthly reporting, as well as providing analysis to support sound decision making by the Group Technology teams.The role will also have a strong focus on partnering with the PMO function to help each project understand its financials, including the establishment and ownership of CAPEX governance framework and processes across the MPMS Group. This role has a strong forward-looking and strategic bias and requires an interpretative element regarding the financial activities of the Group. MPMS is a fast-paced and evolving business, and your ability to adapt, communicate, and influence change as part of the Group Finance team will be important.Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus Own and develop the budgeting, forecasting and business reporting for the Chief Technology Officer and Technology leadership team, including the end-to-end financial management of CAPEX projects. Support the PMO with understanding the CAPEX spend and tracking against budget, forecast and business cases. Own the development of CAPEX governance framework for MPMS, including the development of financial models, board paper templates, and all related approval processes and committees. Operational Management Oversee budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes for the CTO, as well as ensuring the allocated CAPEX budget for the year and its allocation is well understood. Support the CTO in understanding the Group Technology cost base, in order to identify and deliver efficiency and business improvement projects that lead to cost reductions. Ensure adherence to monthly reporting timelines for CTO and its respective projects. Lead the preparation and presentation of CTO analysis and reporting. Collaborate closely with financial control to ensure financial records are reflective of our understanding of both CTO & PMO and projects and that errors are identified and corrected. Collaborate with financial control to ensure financial system usage enables easy analysis of underlying data. Develop efficient and meaningful reporting for CTO and projects to ensure they have meaningful information for decision making. Provide ad hoc deep dives and analysis to understand underlying issues or emerging trends requiring action by the CIO office. Maximise the capabilities of TM1 enterprise planning software. People Leadership and Stakeholder Management Liaise with, influence, and engage the wider Finance, FP&A communities and internal departments across the MPMS group in various countries and jurisdictions. Contribute effectively to meeting Group FP&A cadence and deliverables, while supporting and influencing the wider Finance teams in meeting theirs. Lead, develop, coach and mentor a Finance Business Partner. Cultivate positive working relationships with members of the Group FP&A leadership team and broader Group Finance team. Create an environment where knowledge sharing is second nature, actively contributing to the broader team's development and capability. Process Improvements and Change Management Lead the implementing the MPMS enterprise CAPEX process, including the development of business case templates, financial models, CAPEX approval process, as well as post implementation review processes. Actively identify process improvement opportunities and play an effective part in process improvement projects when required. Governance & Risk Regular and accurate measurement and reporting of our performance against identified frameworks and performance indicators (as aligned to industry standards), and against our externally published targets. Ensure full adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and the good conduct of the businesses, maintaining ongoing compliance and upholding the reputation of MPMS. Achievement of business objectives and the maintenance of ongoing regulatory compliance. Experience & Personal Attributes Relevant professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). 8+ years of Technology finance partnering experience, ideally in a service-based environment that is underpinned by technology platforms. Highly organised and experienced in putting together Board level reporting materials. Highly developed commercial experience in technology field, working in a large corporate with multiple legal entities, divisions and cost centres. Ability to participate in re-engineering, program management and technology implementations. Knowledge of how to exploit digital technology to drive better outcomes for Finance and the business. Ability to explain how digital technologies interact with finance stakeholders, processes and systems. Capability and motivation to embrace new technology and ways of working. Strong growth mindset, including global thinking and ways of working, enabling business change. Strong working experience of financial and strategic planning. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures in previous roles. Flexible and responsive, able to work to tight deadlines within a global, complex and matrixed environment. Extensive experience working with cube based Financial Planning, Business Intelligence tools and ERP systems. Experience working in a large multi-currency global organisation. Ability to fast cycle new digital learning requirements within the new learning environment.
