Senior Financial Accountant - Part time (4 days) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a small but sophisticated boutique investment firm, a family office. The position is permanent part-time, providing flexibility with 4 working days per week. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will have the chance to work across a diverse multi-class investment portfolio held across a complex structure of companies and trusts. As a Senior Financial Accountant, your role will be pivotal in managing the full spectrum of accounting operations within this boutique family office. From data entry through to the preparation of audited financial statements, your expertise will ensure smooth financial operations. Your advanced Excel skills will be utilised for data analysis and charting, while your expert knowledge of Xero will be key in financial statement reporting. You'll also play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with income tax preparation for the company/trust. With your keen eye for detail and analytical skills, you'll identify areas for process improvement within the accounting spectrum. Manage and oversee all financial operations within the family office Prepare audited financial statements and performance reports Ensure compliance with income tax preparation for company/trust Prepare the Net Asset Valuation and performance reporting Utilise advanced Excel skills for data analysis and charting Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting spectrum What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Accountant role is a qualified accountant (CA/CPA) with at least 10 years' direct accounting experience. Some experience working in or with Family Offices is required. Your experience extends to Company/Trust Income tax preparation and compliance. Strong written and verbal communication skills are vital as you'll be preparing financial reports for family or private business entities.
