Senior HV Protection and Control Technician / Commissioning Engineer TechTest Services ( is a national electrical engineering group, providing high voltage testing, commissioning and fitting services to the resources, energy and utility sectors. The company works for tier one clients on some of Australia's largest electrical networks and energy projects. Now backed by the global energy giant VINCI Energies ( there are opportunities in Australia and abroad. TechTest Services is seeking qualified and experienced ESI Protection and Control Technicians for positions based in West Melbourne and the following regional locations: Warragul Geelong Seymour Conditions are in line with Victorian utilities: 36 Hour Week 9 Day fortnight Penalty rates at double time To be successful in this role you will require the following: Advanced Diploma of ESI Power Systems or Associate Degree - Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Significant exposure to substation control system commissioning and testing Experience in substation automation systems Experience in the Victorian Electrical Supply Industry (VESI) Be conversant with general features of substation design and operations Valid Australian Drivers License Electrical Supply Industry (ESI) Passport & training (preferred) Intermediate Microsoft Office knowledge The successful applicant will have the highest regard for safety and be required to actively contribute to HSE activities to ensure health, safety and well-being for yourself and others. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven track record of working cohesively in a team environment. The successful applicant will have proficiency in reading detailed project scopes, material order processes, and managing project schedules. As part of the recruitment process, suitable applicants will be required to complete pre-employment medical testing, including drug and alcohol screening.
