For our branch office in Perth, we're looking for a (Senior) Hydraulic Specialist (gn) with immediate effect: Tasks & Responsibilities Design and develop hydraulic systems for heavy-duty mining and bulk material handling equipment (e.g., conveyors, crushers, stackers, reclaimers). Perform hydraulic calculations and product sizing to ensure systems meet performance and safety requirements. Create and interpret hydraulic circuit designs using tools like AutoCAD-based drafting packages or similar software (e.g., HydroSym). Oversee hydraulic installations of components such as hydraulic power units (HPUs), cylinders, motors, and pipework. Troubleshoot and perform fault-finding tasks on hydraulic systems to optimize reliability and efficiency. Manage on-site hydraulic commissioning, ensuring proper integration and operation of systems. Apply electro-hydraulic control philosophies, including control cards and PLC interface understanding. Conduct performance testing and deliver maintenance plans to ensure long-term operation. Collaborate with project management, mechanical, and electrical teams to deliver seamless solutions. Manage hydraulic projects from concept through to delivery, including vendor coordination and quality assurance. Provide technical support and documentation for both installation and operation phases. Continuously identify opportunities for system improvements, focusing on performance and cost optimization. Qualifications & Experience Certificate 4 in hydraulics, a diploma in mechanical engineering, or 3+ years of experience in the mining, bulk materials handling, or fluid power technology industry. Proficiency in hydraulic circuit design and software tools, with a solid understanding of hydraulic principles and systems. Demonstrated experience in hydraulic fault finding and on-site installation, with hands-on expertise in hydraulic commissioning. Knowledge of electro-hydraulic control systems (PLC and control cards) in a project environment. Business-fluent English; other foreign languages are welcome.
