We have an extensive network of offices and operational sites located in the Perth metropolitan area and the Great Southern, South West, Goldfields-Esperance, Mid West, Pilbara and Kimberley regions of Western Australia. The Opportunity This is an opportunity for a lawyer with 6 to 15 years PAE to join a busy legal team in a fast-paced, rapidly growing business servicing a range of stakeholders, including ASX 200 companies, global and national enterprises, and local WA-based businesses. We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel/Legal Counsel to work closely with the Chief Legal Officer, Managing Director and senior managers in all areas of the business. You will be advising on a range of matters covering mining, transport and logistics, property, construction and employment. This is a full time, permanent position located in Jandakot, with flexibility to work from West Perth up to 2 days a week. You will be provided with secure on-site parking, a laptop and mobile phone. We will cover your annual practising certificate, ACC membership and 10 CPD points per annum. Citizenship or permanent residency is essential. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities will include: Draft, review and negotiate a range of contracts, including services and supply agreements, mining-related agreements, asset sale agreements and real estate agreements Provide legal advice on a range of commercial and regulatory compliance matters, strategic legal advice and claims advice Instruct specialist external lawyers on complex acquisitions and commercial matters, trade mark applications and other specialised matters Assist on litigation matters and claims involving the business, and work with external law firms and counsel as required Legal research, including with the assistance of AI Support department managers and mentor junior employees Manage the implementation of, and compliance with, internal policies and procedures Prepare and deliver relevant training in-house Review and update our Modern Slavery Statement to meet annual reporting obligations Requirements Bachelor of Laws degree 6 to 15 years PAE and a solid commercial contracts background, ideally with experience gained in Transport, Mining, Construction, Corporate/Commercial or M&A Strong negotiation and communication skills Strong stakeholder (internal and external) engagement skills Ability to receive instructions and manage multiple matters from various departments Experience as in-house counsel preferred, but not essential Experience in litigation and dispute resolution preferred, but not essential For more information and a confidential discussion please apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
