The farm Mawarra is situated in the eastern wheatbelt region of Western Australia, approximately 30km east of Merredin and 300km (3 hours drive) east of Perth. The Mawarra aggregation covers an impressive 24,500 arable ha and has demonstrated an ability to deliver above-target operating returns. This farm is heavily focused on research and soil amelioration. Having a strong family focus is a big driver for the farm and the house available is suitable for a family. Job Description What does a Senior Machinery Operator at Warakirri Cropping do? You will be operating farm machinery, including but not limited to, tasks associated with spraying, paddock preparation, planting, spreading, cartage and harvest. At Warakirri Cropping you get to work with the newest equipment and innovative technology and using these, you will observe and monitor crop health and progress. Assisting with the testing and recording of grain quality as well as the safe storage and handling of grain during and post-harvest. This role for example would be a great step up to a Leading Hand position after a while. Qualifications Do you recognise yourself in the following statements? You have a demonstrated track-record of employment in a dryland/broadacre cropping operation, including operating large-scale cropping plant and equipment. You have a strong focus on safety. You work best in a team environment and enjoy contributing to a successful farm team and kicking goals together. You have a current driver’s license. You have a current chemical user’s certificate and/or truck license (HR or MC) or, you are open to obtaining one through us. Additional Information What makes Warakirri unique?
