About the Role We are currently seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join our R&D Tax team in Sydney. You will be given the chance to work with a multi-disciplinary team of tax professionals that have exceptional technical and industry knowledge. It's a unique opportunity for those seeking to work with clients on highly technical matters in a range of industries. Key responsibilities will include: Provide advice & consultancy services relating to R&D tax matters Act as a primary point of contact for key clients and manage the client ledgers Work collaboratively within the R&D tax team, as well as across the wider BDO business Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities to add value Develop new client relationships and identify opportunities to acquire new work Assist with training and development of the R&D tax team. About You 6+ years’ experience in R&D and Government Incentives, including technical advisory and tax controversy matters Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Science, Accounting or Law Demonstrated experience working in a Professional Services, Legal firm, state-based Revenue Office or the ATO Excellent client advisory and communication skills Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a team Ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
