About the Role: An exciting 12-month opportunity to join the Department of Justice and Community Safety's Assurance leadership team, leading the delivery of a robust assurance framework for the department, ensuring the branch is on track and delivering key priorities to the expected level of quality and leading a range of strategic projects for the branch. Some of your duties will include: Providing authoritative professional advice and leadership in relationship management and advisory services to the executive, business unit leaders and cross-functional teams leading and contributing to departmental assurance activities. Leading the development and ongoing management of an assurance framework for the department, including governance, assurance and reporting. Leading and managing the implementation of processes and quality control systems to manage the Assurance branch's work program, including tools to prioritise and track key priorities, major projects and recurrent activities, and ensuring increased demand from Corrections Victoria is appropriately prioritised. About You: As our ideal candidate, you will possess: A wealth of experience in managing complex programs in a government environment with significant concurrent activity and continuous change. Significant knowledge of Victorian State government governance obligations and environment and how government activities operate within that context. Highly developed communication skills (written and verbal). Experience in working at a senior level in supporting ministerial, parliamentary and/or departmental functions and processes. Qualifications/Requirements: A relevant tertiary qualification / experience is desirable. Relevant experience in a government role is preferred.
