Job Description
This leading Australian Bank is looking for a senior manager for their credit risk assurance function. The role will have responsibility around implementing credit risk frameworks, providing oversight over the decisioning for consumer/retail and commercial lending. Key Responsibilities Lead Line 2 credit risk assurance, including credit hindsight and credit risk reviews. Conduct portfolio and thematic reviews to assess credit quality and risks. Review individual credit events and provide recommendations. Supervise the credit hindsight function, including reviewing individual findings. Continuously review and enhance assurance frameworks and standards. Prepare and present reports on credit risk assurance outcomes to senior management and the board. Collaborate with business units to improve credit risk assessment and provide training. Offer feedback to credit assessment teams on hindsight outcomes. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of credit risk professionals. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field. 8-10 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in banking. Proven leadership experience in senior risk management roles. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Expertise in credit policies, processes, and assurance frameworks. Attention to detail with the ability to assess and mitigate credit risks. Collaborative mindset, working effectively across teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
