Permanent full-time Sydney, hybrid working Utilise your breadth of delivery and delivered risks expertise as a BCM Risk in Change resource engaged on multiple projects How will I help? As a Senior Manager BCM RiC, you will be responsible for supporting risk management and embedding risk in change practices across multiple projects including the Records Management transformation program across the Customer & Corporate Services (CCS) and/or HR and Finance Divisions. This role is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders on all matters risk and control, and responsible for implementation of solutions to risk and control problems. It is an expectation of this role to support a strong risk culture that embodies our ethics and integrity, balancing commercial and customer needs. Day to day, your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Program through the provision of strategic and technical risk advice across business case development, solution design, build, testing and implementation Providing risk advice for operating procedures, templates, checklists developed as part of operating model design Leading delivered risk activities including risk assessment activities to identify risks for the new operating model design, designing controls to mitigate risks and managing testing outcome impacts and implementation issues Developing strong relationships with line 1 and line 2 risk and compliance specialists enterprise wide Facilitating workshops with stakeholders to manage delivery and delivered risks and risk deliverable dependencies across workstreams, overseeing key delivered risk milestones, compliance with transformation standards, and escalation of significant workstreams concerns to program for visibility Supporting compliance with the Group’s risk and control frameworks and change execution methodologies, including completion, endorsement and approval of required change artefacts Escalating and presenting risk information at Program governance forums Contributing risk in change thematic insights into the broader CCS portfolio, and ensuring continuous risk in change practice development and improvements to enable quality risk assessments for projects Provide risk advice in the assessment, root cause analysis and remediation of incidents and issues Coaching and supporting the Program and broader business to build greater risk awareness and capability. What’s in it for me? This role will provide you with a broad exposure of projects across the Westpac Group and will also include reporting on a mix of risk in change related topics. The role would be suited to someone who naturally enjoys coaching and bringing others on the journey of change management, building enhanced risk awareness, and uplift in capability. Longer term, the role will assist in propelling your career in areas such as first line risk, the Group Transformation Office, Customer and Corporate Services, and Finance within the Westpac Group. You’ll be scaffolded to grow during your transition to the role. Collaborating in person two days a week in our Kent Street office, with Mondays being an ideal day for ceremonies to re-group for the week. What do I need? To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced risk in change professional from a Banking and Financial Services or consultancy background. As a professional aspiring to continue building your business knowledge, you’ll lean into your deep expertise from areas like operational risk, financial risk, controls and exposure to data risk within projects. Further advantageous qualities and experience includes: Proven development and execution expertise in process and control simplification A passion for working with data, the ability to apply critical thinking and challenge the status quo Excellent verbal and written communication skills Confidence in managing senior stakeholders with an outcome focussed mindset coupled with proven negotiation skills Relevant qualifications (risk, compliance or business-related) What’s it like to work there?
