Based in the Enterprise Partnerships Unit at the City West Campus Full-time (1.0 FTE) continuing position Starting Salary: $132,649 per annum (plus 17% superannuation) About You You will ideally have experience working across the Defence and/or Space sectors, and bring a curious nature which will allow you to proactively hunt for opportunities. You are confident to present leads in order to guide future research and developments across the University. You have a positive, can-do attitude, and are driven to excel. About the Role Reporting to the Director: Defence and Space, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and coordination of the University of South Australia's engagement across the Defence and Space sectors, nationally and internationally. You will be responsible for coordinating with key partners and achieving KPI’s and targets for your identified portfolio. You will ensure that UniSA generates revenue from educational, training, research and innovation partnerships with companies and relevant Government agencies under the broad scope of the University's Enterprise Academic Plan, Research and Enterprise Strategic Plan and Industry Plans as appropriate. Essential Skills and Experience Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field and relevant experience in Business Development or an equivalent combination of relevant experience (Defence/Space sector) Demonstrated experience in the development of strategic relationships with key stakeholders and industry associations across the Defence and/or Space segments, with a track record of achieving agreed revenue targets Demonstrated experience in market development and assessment of new opportunities specifically the identification, evaluation and closure of opportunities, whilst protecting Intellectual Property Demonstrated experience in execution of commercial project proposals consistent with the strategic directions of the Unit including negotiation, budget development, risk management and contract compliance An excellent understanding of the industry, professional, and government environments in Australia and internationally in relation to the relevant sectors Benefits Getting a great job working with the best is just the start.
