The Senior Manager, Business Insights in the Advancement Portfolio is a hands-on role, responsible for the timely execution of tasks that require specialised technical expertise used for reporting and analysis. This role delivers actionable insights to university stakeholders utilising analytics and data visualisation techniques. This position sits within the Portfolio’s Advancement Services unit, however, will work closely with all portfolio leadership and senior staff in the Alumni & Supporter Experience and Development teams as clients. Your key responsibilities will be to: Manage datasets and data models driving reporting and analytics, including data dictionary, ways of working, documentation and continuous improvement Leading and support the Business Insights Analysts in their delivery and engagement with business stakeholders Maintain a strong visualisation and analytics (Power BI and CRM) operating model to ensure consistency and optimise user experience Maintain a strong data model management (Snowflake based environment) to ensure consistency and reliability Advocate data culture, empower people within the Portfolio to leverage modelling, analytics and data techniques About you The University values courage and creativity; openness and engagement; inclusion and diversity; and respect and integrity. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Senior Manager, Business Insights who is an excellent technician and team leader with: a degree with a computer programming, data analysis or information systems focus, plus relevant experience in the field demonstrated capability in data visualisation tools (such as CRM Analytics, Power BI, PowerPoint and Excel). Demonstrated capability in data modelling to help build and maintain efficient reporting tools and datasets. highly developed written, verbal and presentation skills including the ability to prepare reports of a consistently high standard and present information to senior leaders agile ways of working: Ability to work under an agile methodology approach, including working across teams as required demonstrable experience maintaining technical documentation in support of strong data governance. excellent workload, project management and organisational skills, including the demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and take initiative.
