As the Senior Manager, Commercial and Performance , you will be the contract and commercial management expert within QantasLink for our E190 wet-lease operation, whilst supporting commercial and project-based initiatives across the portfolio, to maintain high levels of operational performance. Reporting to the Head of E190 Commercial, Operations & Performance, you’ll balance E190 elements of the Group Fleet Plan and Network Strategy, ensuring all aspects of the E190 flying program – across current and future schedule seasons – are reflective of a high-performing network, and to contracted terms. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strong commercial governance, supporting performance of third-party supplier relationships that enable our E190 operations. You will draw on your excellence in stakeholder management to deliver contract performance in a fast-paced and growing operation, providing expert advice to senior management, ensuring QantasLink’s interests are fully maintained whilst retaining a strong working relationship with all stakeholders. This position is required to inform a wide group of stakeholders of the benefits, costs and risks associated with existing and new contract arrangements. It requires making recommendations on the strategic direction; contract development; negotiation strategy and application of performance management frameworks. Further, the role will hold budgetary accountability of these commercial agreements and is required to report on financial and commercial performance during reporting cycles. You’ll have: Undergraduate tertiary qualification (mandatory) - preference for degrees in commercial, business management, law or finance. 5-10 years’ relevant industry experience. Extensive experience in managing multimillion dollar contracts. Experience in contract / commercial negotiations (preferred). Experience working in a complex, diverse operational portfolio across a broad stakeholder base. Ability to influence through collaborative leadership across various organisational layers. Ability to apply commercial and contract management principles and governance to manage supplier performance that meets operational and service metrics. Proven planning, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to show initiative and sound judgement when required to make decisions with tight deadlines.
