Overview This role assists the Group FP&A, MPMS team in linking the operations of Group Functions, the performance of Business Units, and the reporting of financial results to the Executive and Board. In this role you will also act in a Business Partnering capacity across various Group Functions, to ensure that they are on track to deliver their strategic and financial goals through excellent reporting, analysis, and planning processes. Contributing to the Group FP&A team efforts, the role directly supports the success of MPMS reporting, analysis, and planning processes by being involved in OPEX management, as well as playing a part in Group consolidation, cash flow reporting, and project work as required. Extensive and effective communication and consultation with the business are essential. This role has a strong forward-looking and strategic bias and requires an interpretative element regarding the financial activities of the business. MPMS is a fast-paced and evolving business, and your ability to adapt, communicate, and influence change as part of the Group Finance team will be important. Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities Strategic Focus Provide strategic and practical advice regarding financial activities of the business and identify solutions to enhance the financial position of MPMS. Assess and challenge the financial impact of different business strategies and decisions, provide recommendations and ensuring alignment to the organisational strategy. Operational Management Assist in the controlled, efficient and timely production of the monthly MPMS Group Management Pack. Manage select monthly finance meetings with key business unit heads to review month and YTD performance vs. forecast and budget and assist in the investigation and resolution of unexplained variances. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial forecasts including highlighting risks and opportunities to achievement with various Business Unit Managers and Group Executives. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and related processes. Assist in providing ad-hoc analysis to assist in the communication of financial results and the key drivers of performance. Interpret financial activities of the functions to identify process improvement solutions. Assist in Group consolidation, including cash flow related reporting. Weekly ad-hoc analysis of financial and statistical data. Maximise the capabilities of TM1 enterprise planning software. Other ad-hoc duties. Stakeholder Management Liaise with, influence, and engage the wider Finance and FP&A communities across the MPMS group in various countries and jurisdictions. Assist and contribute effectively to meeting Group FP&A cadence and deliverables, while supporting and influencing the wider Finance teams in meeting theirs. Manage and cultivate good working relationships with the Finance teams and internal departments. Provide high-quality support to corporate cost centre managers, helping them meet strategic goals within budget constraints. Process Improvements and Change Management Actively identify process improvement opportunities and play an effective part in process improvement projects when required. Governance & Risk Regular and accurate measurement and reporting of our performance against identified frameworks and performance indicators (as aligned to industry standards), and against our externally published targets. Ensure full adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and the good conduct of the businesses, maintaining ongoing compliance and upholding the reputation of MPMS. Achievement of business objectives and the maintenance of ongoing regulatory compliance. Experience & Personal Attributes At least 5 years of experience in a similar role of Finance Business Partnering capacity. Previous experience and understanding of large, global matrixed organisations, ideally in Fintech or in a service-based environment underpinned by technology platforms. Proven ability to deal with C-Suite leaders and Senior Leaders across multiple jurisdictions. Knowledge of how to exploit digital technology to drive better outcomes for Finance and the business. Ability to explain how digital technologies interact with finance stakeholders, processes and systems. Capability and motivation to embrace new technology and ways of working. Strong business writing and communication skills. Experience in managing concurrent deadlines and delivering results within tight timelines. CA/CPA qualification and a university degree with a major in accounting or other relevant discipline. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills across various business units and areas. Flexible and responsive, able to work to tight timelines within a global, complex and matrixed environment. Results-driven and focused on delivering full-year financial targets.
