About The Role The Senior Manager, Insights and Analytics is responsible for leading a team of data professionals (engineers, analysts and designers) to develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy to support effective decision making within the Hospitals Victoria division. The role will develop and lead the strategic management of data infrastructure used to develop business intelligence (BI) and analytic solutions and manage multiple data platforms within the Hospitals Victoria Division. The projects undertaken by this role are focused on ensuring data consistency and informed decision making. About You Manage and oversee the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including: Researching, preparing and executing project business cases and plans within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters. Preparing and presenting quality reports and work briefings in accordance with the department's project management processes. Evaluating tender bids and participating in liaison and negotiation associated with tender processes. Contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met. Provide leadership, guidance and authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed, comprehensive reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters. Pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach. Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to express opinions, information and key points clearly and concisely via effective verbal and written communication. Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, provide advice on processes and policies, and work effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
