This is a pivotal role overseeing high profile transactions within the food and agribusiness sectors, contributing strategically to the growth and direction of the firm. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in mid-market M&A lead advisory, with the ability to manage complex transactions, build strong client relationships and foster a high performance culture. About Oxley Capital Partners Oxley Capital Partners is an independent corporate advisory firm specialising in M&A lead advisory for corporate and family owned businesses across the food and agribusiness supply chain. We assist clients with divestments, acquisitions and capital raising, leveraging our deep industry expertise and global investor network. This is a full time position offering flexible working conditions to suit business and personal circumstances, based in our Sydney CBD office. Your Role Lead and oversee the execution of complex end-to-end M&A transactions, including drafting information memorandums, managing data rooms and co-ordinating stakeholder communications. Provide strategic guidance on M&A, Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Equity Capital Markets (ECM), including decarbonisation deals (carbon, biodiversity), supporting clients at various stages of their growth cycle. Build 3 way financial models, including debt and acquisition financing structures. Lead commercial negotiations of key transaction documents (SPA/ASA) and interface with legal advisors. Drive business development efforts, identifying new opportunities, cultivating client relationships and expanding the firm’s footprint within the food and agribusiness sectors. Mentor and develop junior staff, promoting a culture of collaboration, continuous learning and high performance within the team. Act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders, including clients, investors and industry partners, ensuring consistent delivery of high quality services. Contribute to the strategic growth of the firm by identifying market trends, providing insights and participating in firm leadership discussions. About You Extensive M&A transaction execution experience (8+ years), ideally in M&A lead advisory or transaction services. Previous experience in a senior leadership role within M&A advisory or corporate finance, ideally with exposure to mid-market deals. Strong business development skills, with a proven ability to originate and close deals while building lasting client relationships. Expert financial acumen, with advanced financial modelling skills (Excel) and proficiency in PowerPoint and other relevant tools. Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation. Strategic thinker with a problem solving mindset, capable of providing innovative solutions and navigating complex challenges. Sector expertise in food and agribusiness is highly desirable, but not essential. Strong networking skills, with the ability to generate deal flow.
