We are seeking a Senior Manager, Policy and Projects to join our team based in our Brisbane office. About the role Reporting to the General Manager, Policy, Advocacy, and Prevention , this leadership role is instrumental in driving evidence-based and consumer-informed policy initiatives that shape the future of lung health in Australia. As the Senior Manager, Policy and Projects , you will lead a high-performing team in the development, translation, and implementation of innovative policy solutions and impactful projects. With a focus on collaboration and strategic advocacy, you will work to influence public policy, secure investment, and champion consumer priorities in lung health. Key responsibilities: Lead the research, development, and implementation of proactive, evidence-based, and consumer-informed policy positions. Develop and execute strategies to influence public policy and regulatory decisions in favour of lung health priorities. Monitor policy trends and legislative changes, providing timely analysis and strategic advice. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, peak bodies, researchers, and consumers. Translate complex policy issues into accessible and compelling messages for diverse audiences. Oversee the development, monitoring, and evaluation of high-impact projects aligned with organisational priorities. Manage project budgets and ensure timely, high-quality reporting to funders and stakeholders. Act as a spokesperson for the organisation in government and public forums, media, and stakeholder engagements. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team. About you We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional with a passion for health policy, project management, and driving meaningful change. Your ability to lead, influence, and deliver results will be essential to the success of this role. Experience in successfully developing and delivering innovative policy solutions and strategic projects. Exceptional analytical, research, and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex policy issues for varied audiences. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships. Demonstrated experience in managing government grants, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance. Proven leadership and team management experience, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth. Advanced project management skills, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools. A minimum of 5 years of senior-level experience in public policy, health promotion, or a related area is required. A tertiary qualification in Public Policy, Health, Law, or a related field is essential. Experience within the not-for-profit or healthcare sector is also desirable. What we offer you!
