Job Description

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, will take ownership and responsibility for project management activities associated with the Landside Logistics Business projects nationally. This includes working with key stakeholders to prioritise projects and obtain approval to execute the projects. The role will undertake end to end project management activities across the Landside Logistics portfolio of projects including warehousing and rail operations. This role will collaborate closely with essential stakeholders to conceive or develop and execute business projects for the Landside Logistics businesses across Oceania as well as work with key Senior Leadership team members to support project management delivery. Key Accountabilities: Lead and support key projects that deliver a business solution and support broader business development. Plan the project and monitor its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate with key stakeholders. Develop and manage the budget and benefits realisation across the project. Conduct end project evaluation to assess how well the project was managed and prepare an end-project report (including lessons learned report / preparation of any follow-on action recommendations as required). Apply a structured methodology and lead project management activities engaging with external suppliers involved in the delivery of the project to ensure projects are delivered on time, in budget and within approved scope. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, civil engineering or construction management or related disciplines. 5+ years of Project Management industry experience including warehouse or construction and IT projects. Project Management certification or designation, PMP ideal. Experience in successfully managing a portfolio of projects including IT and logistics or construction or rail. Experience of managing multiple Complex Business Projects in a logistics or construction setting. Experience in Warehouse / Logistics Projects: Specific experience managing fitouts and construction of logistics warehouses is critical. Familiarity with warehouse systems (like shelving, racking, material handling, and automation) helps ensure that the fitout meets operational requirements. Experience in managing contractors, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and quality standards, while staying within budget and adhering to timelines. Experience in identifying, mitigating, and managing risks across both the construction and fitout phases, especially those that may impact timelines, costs, or quality.
