Where You'll Be Working: In this role, you will provide services across Cumberland Hospital’s acute and rehabilitation streams. Our department is composed of committed Occupational Therapists, Diversional Therapists, Art Therapists, and Exercise Physiologists. What you'll be doing: This role entails planning, coordinating, and delivering exceptional Occupational Therapy (OT) services across Cumberland Hospital's acute and rehabilitation streams, in line with Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) policies and standards. Flexibility is essential, as you will work in various clinical settings based on service needs. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to perform assessments and provide interventions within a recovery model, aiming to help consumers reach their optimal level of functioning. In addition to overseeing and coordinating student placements, the role includes providing clinical supervision and leadership to level 1 and 2 OTs. Essential Criteria: Qualification: Degree or Diploma recognised by Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Registration: General registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Selection Criteria: Degree or Diploma in Occupational therapy with Full National registration. Demonstrated mental health experience in the use of Standardised Occupational Therapy assessment tools. Demonstrated experience in evidence-based service provision and commitment to recovery based programs, implementation, and evaluation. Demonstrated commitment to consumer participation in their treatment and care plan development, working with families and carers. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills. Demonstrated experience in student co-ordination and commitment to supervision of students, implementing education programs and liaison with university placement coordinators. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, organise work in an effective manner and maintain partnerships. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
