Senior Operations Analyst | Commodities Markets and Financing Operations Our Market Operations Division at Macquarie Bank is dedicated to managing all post-execution trade lifecycle processes across global financial Metals, Agriculture, Commodity Investor Products, Power, Gas, and Emissions markets. Based in Sydney, our energetic and highly skilled Commodity Markets and Finance Support Team provides exceptional client service to both internal and external clients of the Commodity Markets and Finance Division. As an Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in verifying deals against trade recaps/broker notes, drafting ISDA and bespoke confirmations, processing incoming confirmations from clients, and handling trade settlements. Furthermore, your responsibilities will also include generating and approving confirmations, reviewing daily reconciliations, compiling regulatory/managerial reports, and collaborating with various groups within the Bank to implement operational improvements. What you offer 2-5 years’ experience within commodity or financial markets Familiarity with SWIFT payment messaging types and a working knowledge of settlement processes Generation of ISDA-based and bespoke confirmations High accuracy rates and attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office365, Excel, Word, and other relevant applications Strong communication and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment and cover staff absences or busy periods as required.
