The Company This is a chance to work with one of the global leaders in renewable energy.They are known throughout the industry for the delivery, operation and maintenance of high quality, cost effective projects boasting some of the world's largest power generators amongst their customer base. They have offices on every continent and are currently experiencing a significant period of world-wide growth.About the role Initially a 12 month fixed term contract. This role is reporting to the General Manager of Asset Management. The Senior Operations Engineer is responsible for managing the technical performance of operating assets. Whilst focussing on improving returns through strategic operational and asset management and innovative strategies.You can be based in any of their offices across the east coast of Australia, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. There will be a small amount of travel, when required, to visit the different wind farm sites.Areas of responsibility Assist the Operations team, ensuring all technical compliance, regulatory and contractual obligations are met. Collaborate in the negotiation of long term agreements and resolution of contractual disputes that stem from the operation of assets. Manage CAPEX and OPEX projects from feasibility to completion. Assist in the continued development of processes and procedures within the Operations team. Ensure all asset level key risk registers are regularly reviewed and maintained. Successful Requirements Bachelors Degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Demonstrated experience in the same or similar role 5+ years of post graduate experience A sound technical background in energy or engineering Have a passion for renewable energy Advantageous skills (but not essential) Operations or asset management experience in renewables or HV (transmission/Substations).
