Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to take a leading role in managing our payroll function. This key position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll for our employees, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, and providing expert advice on payroll-related matters. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in payroll administration, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a large team of employees. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, awards, and company policies. Oversee payroll reporting, including payslips, tax, superannuation, and other statutory obligations. Provide expert advice on payroll issues and complex calculations. Liaise with HR and other departments to ensure employee records are accurate and up to date. Process payroll-related transactions, including bonuses, allowances, deductions, and leave entitlements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll systems and software. Assist with audits, internal controls, and other payroll-related functions as required. Contribute to process improvements within the payroll function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. About You Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll administration, with a solid understanding of payroll legislation and best practices. Demonstrated experience in using payroll software and systems (experience with PayGlobal, Aurion or Optima software is a plus). Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to payroll challenges. Knowledge of the aged care sector or not-for-profit environments is highly desirable.
