ROLE PURPOSE The purpose of the Senior Planning Executive role is to autonomously plan and implement client campaigns - responsible for the delivery of all client activity. They will help lead the delivery of communication plans and management of digital campaigns from buying and implementation through to reporting and the delivery of holistic campaign learnings. KEY OUTPUTS Maintain Internal Relationships Manage relationships with internal teams and partner agencies to benefit clients and Spark. Collaborate with internal resources and the Client Manager to create effective cross-channel communication plans. Search for innovative communications ideas and present these to internal teams. Contribute to weekly WIP meetings, raising potential issues within your client portfolio. Media Planning and Implementation Create clear plans supporting client’s business objectives. Understand the properties and capabilities of each medium's strengths and weaknesses. Support Activations Team Work with the Activations team for partner briefings and evaluations. Keep pace with market knowledge to aid negotiations. Drive negotiations for clients with publishers. Campaign Analysis and Optimisation Monitor and optimise campaigns regularly. Demonstrate how campaign results relate to the strategic intent. Identify and recommend optimisation opportunities. Lead the creation of post-campaign reports. Campaign Management & Finance Processes Reconcile campaign delivery and ensure final plans reflect billings. Maintain accurate budget and spend management. Complete final buy documents and advise the team of savings. Competitor & Market Analysis Conduct regular analysis of competitor activity and market trends. Source content for competitor and market reviews. Mentoring Co-ordinators/Executives Develop, train and delegate effectively. Set a good example for Communication Executives. Motivate them through personal influence and creativity. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 3 - 4 years experience. Preferably a University degree or higher education qualifications. Expert understanding of the Australian media landscape. Expert across Office platforms: Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Experience using tools such as eTAM, BMD, Roy Morgan, EMMA, eRAM, Nielsen Digital, Sizmek, MOVE, AQX Fusion. BEHAVIOURS Develops professional relationships with media partners and clients.
