About the Opportunity Join EnergyCo NSW’s Technical Advisory Services team as a Senior Power Systems Engineer and lead a dedicated team of specialists shaping the future of renewable energy. This pivotal role focuses on conducting advanced power system modelling to ensure the seamless integration of Australia’s first Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) infrastructure. You'll play a vital role in delivering reliable energy solutions to customers by employing cutting-edge modelling techniques, providing expert advice to the Corporation, Government, and REZ program stakeholders. As a senior engineer, you will also oversee procurement and sourcing of technical expertise, contributing to the strategic growth of our small but dynamic team in a rapidly evolving sector. This is a rare, once-in-a-generation opportunity to be at the forefront of planning a renewable energy zone, tackling real-world challenges in energy integration. The role offers diverse, dynamic projects, ensuring no two days are the same. We’re seeking a hands-on engineer with a passion for power system analysis—not a project manager or designer—to drive meaningful progress for EnergyCo. About You We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Power Systems Engineer with demonstrated hands-on experience in power system planning and analysis. Armed with an electrical engineering background and expertise in tools like PSS/E, PowerFactory, and PSCAD, you excel at tackling the challenges of renewable energy integration. Your sharp technical writing, stakeholder management, and communication skills make you a natural at turning complex data into actionable insights. You’re a problem solver who thrives in technical advisory roles with an understanding of policy and commercial factors that impact heavy infrastructure integration. From power system modelling to technical due diligence, you know how to balance technical and commercial priorities.
