Position Summary: Our client is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design for renewable energy power generation projects and manage grid-connection studies. This role is integral to delivering renewable project outcomes across various sustainable energy infrastructure projects. This is a ground floor opportunity in an established 25-year electrical engineering business to build the renewable electrical design and grid connections capability. Key Responsibilities: Lead electrical design for large-scale wind, solar, BESS, and hybrid projects. Develop technical specifications and support early-stage development activities. Manage R1 and R2 grid-connection studies for NEM projects. Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and best practices. Consult with OEMs, network service providers, and AEMO. Project Management: Define project scopes and deliver work packages within budgets. Ensure safe and timely project delivery. Manage changes to scope, time, and budget. Monitor progress and provide informative reporting. Skills and Experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering; post-graduate qualifications are a plus. RPEV or CPEng, NER registration. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and AEMO's grid connection process. Experience in renewable projects at various design stages.
