Senior Producer Department: Production (Live-Action) Employment Type: Full Time Location: Melbourne Reporting To: Kenny Hallett Description We’re on the lookout for an experienced and energetic Senior Producer to join our Live Action team based in Melbourne. As a Senior Producer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end production process, ensuring seamless execution from pre-production through to post. You’ll be responsible for managing multiple projects, working closely with clients, and leading the production team to deliver high-quality video and multimedia content. This role requires strong creative vision, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to problem-solve on the fly. What You’ll Do Project Leadership: Take full ownership of live-action projects, from concept to delivery. Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on creative vision. Creative Development: Work with our internal team to ideate storyboards, develop creative concepts, and ensure a high standard of execution. Talent & Crew Management: Source, negotiate, and book on-screen talent, directors, DOPs, and production crew. Location Scouting & Permits: Identify, review, and secure suitable locations, handling all necessary permits and logistics. Scheduling & Budgeting: Create detailed production schedules and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. On-Set Leadership: Lead shoots, directing crew and talent to maintain efficiency and uphold production standards. Post-Production Coordination: Collaborate with editors and post-production teams to ensure seamless handover and delivery of final assets. What We’re Looking For Extensive Production Experience: A strong background in video production, with at least 6 years + proven experience as a producer on commercial, branded, or corporate content. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to manage client relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively. Creative & Strategic Thinking: A sharp eye for detail and a proactive approach to solving production challenges. Strong Organisational Skills: The ability to juggle multiple projects, schedules, and budgets while maintaining high-quality output. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of film production equipment, cameras, lighting, and industry-standard workflows. Leadership & Teamwork: A collaborative team player who can inspire and guide both internal teams and external freelancers. Driver’s License & Flexibility: A full Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for shoots as required. Why join Vidico?
