Job Description

We have an exciting, permanent flexible full-time opportunity for you to join our Office of the Deputy Director-General based in Brisbane CBD! You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of systems and processes to support the monitoring and reporting of divisional objectives and deliverables scheduled across the division. Reporting to the Manager, ODDG, the Senior Program Officer is responsible for the development and maintenance of systems and processes to support the monitoring and reporting of divisional objectives and deliverables scheduled across the division. The role will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders of the ODDG and be responsible for the strategic communications of the ODDG, as well as providing secretariat support to Committees chaired by the DDG, as required. Your key responsibilities: Develop and implement performance monitoring and reporting mechanisms to ensure innovative, effective and efficient systems across the portfolio. Identify, design and implement system improvements, ensuring the use of appropriate planning techniques, methodologies and tools, in line with team commitments. Prepare high level responses in relation to requests for information regarding meeting agendas performance including, but not limited to briefing notes, Estimates and presentations. Provide professional advice to senior management, and other stakeholders to influence the strategic planning and delivery of complex and/or innovative clinical planning and service strategy objectives for the Division. Collect, maintain, organise and analyse data to design and generate detailed and accurate qualitative and quantitative reports and schedules. The successful person: You will have demonstrated: Written and oral communication skills including the ability to prepare high quality documentation, such as briefings, submissions, memos, reports, minutes, correspondence, accurate reports and communication papers and maintain effective professional relationships. High level administrative and organisational skills and the ability to coordinate and complete tasks within given timeframes. Proven effective consultation and facilitation skills, including the ability to consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders at a senior level. Conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement responsive solutions to address issues. Ability to contribute to the development of program/project plans, delivery outcomes and manage competing work priorities to meet agreed deadlines and commitments.
