The Role: As the Senior Project Manager your role will see you oversee the implementation of business initiatives for AP+ stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of NPP initiatives on time, within budget, and within scope, while upholding high standards of quality and performance. Day to day, you will lead the delivery of the NPP Squad, offering support to other key streams within the APF program as needed as well as manage and organise a small team of squad-assigned resources, promoting collaboration and efficiency. Proposed Role Responsibilities are: Lead and organise the NPP central capabilities squad, providing operational oversight to ensure successful delivery of agreed outcomes, effective resource planning, and quality RAIDD management. Provide project reporting to identify and address delivery risks, including developing contingency plans and mitigating risks. Ensure effective project delivery governance, consistently applying the AP+ delivery methodology across the project environment. Prioritise and allocate resources to meet deliverables, ensuring the squad possesses the necessary skills and competencies to succeed. Monitor project scope, working with stakeholders to assess, test, and refine requirements. Manage change controls to ensure alignment with organizational standards, quality expectations, and benefits tracking. Identify and manage cross-squad dependencies and issues. Cultivate and manage internal stakeholder relationships, while supporting external engagement strategies through effective relationship-building and alignment of project activities. Liaise with sponsors and business owners to ensure resource allocation, support, and stakeholder buy-in to meet project outcomes. Oversee contracts such as statements of work and high-level estimates. Be flexible in attending meetings outside of regular working hours when necessary. Proposed Position Requirements are: Experience working with payment vendor applications (e.g., Swift, FIS). Experience with NPP Payments and Infrastructure. Proven expertise in project management with a successful track record leading enterprise-wide projects, ideally within the payments industry. Familiarity with the ISO 20022 standard, including understanding its elements and business rule usage. Experience coordinating and participating in payment industry working groups, as well as reporting on their progress. Experience guiding payment industry participants through major change initiatives, including tracking testing and readiness status. Proven experience managing small teams. Strong background in building and managing customer/client relationships. Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders, including vendors. Knowledge of the payments industry is preferred, with a focus on ISO 20022 expertise. Familiarity with cloud migration processes. Working knowledge of project methodologies (PMBOK, Prince II, Agile).
