SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER / SENIOR CASE MANAGER Reference : 8NCCD0B3 SA Public Sector Employees Only Division : Department for Child Protection Salary Range : $88,255-$102,240 Classification : AHP2 Engagement Type : Multiple Closing Date : 30 Jan 2025 11:00 PM Role Highlights Multiple full-time vacancies, two ongoing and one term until 10 May 2025 AHP2 ($88,255 - $102,240 p.a. +11.5% Superannuation) / PO2 ($88,255 - $97,667 p.a. +11.5% Superannuation) Salary packaging available + EAP support for you and your family The Department for Child Protection is seeking multiple Senior Social Workers or Senior Case Managers to join the Limestone Coast office on a full-time basis. Responsibilities: Conducting complex investigations and assessments in a child-centred manner, focused on the safety of the child and supporting the parent/family to effectively care for their child. Providing concise and informative written and verbal reports based on evidence analysis, including being a witness in court proceedings. Responding to notifications of child abuse, reviewing and reassessing cases as necessary in light of new evidence. Working in partnership with families to support the safe return of children to their care and working directly with children in care to ensure their development, stability, and security. About You We are looking for a motivated, organized individual who understands factors contributing to child abuse within the context of child development, parenting, family, and environmental factors, and can confidently apply this understanding in your work and decisions. You need to be a good communicator and develop strong networks with key professionals and families. Ability to apply culturally sensitive child protection practices for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds is essential. Special Conditions AHP: A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. PO: Appropriate degree qualification in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or related field. Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent with the appropriate background and skills may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and can apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
