The opportunityAs our Senior Spatial Services Officer, you will support the Forestry Spatial Services Team to provide analysis, mapping and innovative GIS solutions to business units across DPI Forestry. You will Facilitate continual improvement and innovation in Forestry's spatial systems, including delivering desktop and mobile apps and solutions for office and field staff. Modernise data management practices and implement best-practice data governance. Provide leadership and empower DPI Forestry staff in spatial skill and literacy. Provide spatial services to the various business groups across Forestry operations and policy. What we are looking forYou will have excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrated experience and proficiency in GIS, data analysis, mapping, interactive map and app design. Most importantly you will work as part of a high-performing, diverse and inclusive team, and build and manage relationships with partners and stakeholders across DPI Forestry and the broader Queensland Government GIS community. Experience in the use of programming languages to improve efficiencies in GIS analyses and workflows will be highly regarded.
