About this opportunity: We are looking for a full-time Senior Stewarding Supervisor to join our Culinary brigade here at ICC Sydney! In this role, you will assist with the leading, development and inspiring of our Stewarding team and will be crucial in assisting with the planning and coordination of arrangements that support the Kitchen and Front of House teams in delivering world-class culinary experiences. In addition to this, you will: Conduct daily cleaning and safety standard inspections in the kitchens, back of house areas, storerooms and outlets; Report any hazards or defects through appropriate channels; Assist in the completion of administrative duties that facilitate the effective and smooth running of the Stewarding team; Assist in the management of operational costs including but not limited to stock control and team member efficiencies; Recommend improvements in operations especially in the aspect of developing a better service standard and cost reduction; Maintain our high standards of food quality and ISO 22000 food safety compliance; Provide hands-on leadership and direction to the Stewarding team. Required Skills & Experience: A proven track record in supervising a large and culturally diverse team within the hospitality industry; Strong communication and relationship building skills; Aspiration to take more ownership in delegating tasks and supervising a cohesive and organised team; Ability to work in a physically demanding role that may require some heavy lifting. Ability to work across a 7-day rotating roster including day, evening and weekend work with early starts and late finishes. Valid working rights in Australia. You must be 18 years or over.
