It's all about winning in e-commerce and creating great digital experiences for our business, all while reimagining our post office network as we simplify our products and services, and the Group Procurement team is at the centre of many of these exciting and changing activities. About the opportunity Reporting to the ‘Head of Group Procurement’, you will lead, manage and deliver high-profile sourcing events, through to contract execution. These would be major sourcing events that are large-scale, complex, with significant business impacts, which links to the strategic outcomes for APG. The role will also lead and mentor the IT Procurement Team (Enterprise Services Procurement) and lead the category strategy for Australia Post’s IT Procurement and where necessary will draw on the available resources of the Group Procurement Team to form a virtual team to support service delivery. What you’ll deliver with us This role encompasses Strategic Sourcing Strategy development and planning, IT Category Planning, working in partnership with business stakeholders and business partners and being a senior member of larger programs of work. You’ll also Deliver value outcomes across specific sourcing events including the procurement of goods and services, cost savings, negotiation and commercial value Represent the procurement process to maximise value across brand and reputation, customer service, service delivery and quality, innovation, environmental and sustainable outcomes whilst generating commercial value, identifying and managing risk, and maintaining the highest standards of corporate responsibility Provide strategic input into Australia Post’s Group Procurement Technology procurement strategies and priorities and help drive standards that will provide an efficient, effective, economical, and ethical approach Identify, build and drive sustainability procurement opportunities with key internal and external stakeholders as part of program leadership Work in collaboration with key business stakeholders and Strategic Category Managers to ensure alignment with AGP’s objectives and values About you Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Law, Supply Chain, Business or Commerce or a related field is desirable, along with relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPA/CA) An experienced sourcing/procurement professional with exposure to sourcing practices and processes Demonstrated strategic sourcing experience and supplier relationship management, preferably in large, government or corporate environments Leading and growing a small team of procurement professionals Sound commercial knowledge and understanding, including an understanding of national/global providers, contract law, probity practices, and procedures Ability to build relationships as a trusted advisor and work with multiple senior stakeholders Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to present to senior stakeholders Experience with Ariba Source to Contract is highly desirable How we’ll deliver for you Join one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse workforces in Australia, where we’re all ages, and genders and come from all walks of life We deliver on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety every day.
